COVID Preparedness Policies

Since the Alexander Technique centers around close physical contact, I felt it prudent to simply place my practice on hiatus during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic. Now as we head into the fall of 2021 I am slowly beginning to schedule students for in-person lessons again, and I have adopted the following COVID safety precautions:

Vaccination

I require proof of COVID vaccination before scheduling a demo lesson. Bring your vaccine record card with you to our initial meet-and-greet so I can clear you for my records!

Masking

I require both of us to stay masked throughout the duration of each lesson. We will be standing quite close together and I figure better safe than sorry! If you have special circumstances that make masking difficult, let me know and we’ll see if we can work something out. Students are always welcome to take a breather out on the porch if need be.

Hygiene and Sanitation

I plan to allow extra time between students as a buffer, giving me time to clean any high-touch surfaces in my teaching room. I will wash hands before and after each student, and encourage students to do the same. I have access to hand sanitizer and disposable masks if a student needs them.
